A promising energy source
This statement raises some interesting questions, but it suggests that nuclear fusion will be rapidly available and commercially viable. Nuclear fusion is a promising technology that, if successful, could offer an almost unlimited, clean, and safe source of energy [1].
However, nuclear fusion is still in its infancy and its large-scale implementation remains uncertain. To date, no commercial nuclear fusion reactor exists, and scientists estimate that it will take several more decades of research and development before it becomes a commercial reality.

Projects such as ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) [2], in France, are being developed to demonstrate the scientific and technical feasibility of nuclear fusion. In recent years, the private sector has shown interest in developing fusion energy commercially, with several billion dollars of investment in several countries such as the United States, United Kingdom and, more recently, Germany. Even if some see an acceleration of scientific and technical progress, the production of electricity from fusion is not expected before 2050, and only on the scale of low-power demonstrators [3]. In the meantime, current nuclear power, based on fission, is already a low-carbon source of electricity that helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions and limit global warming. Although nuclear energy carries certain risks, strict regulations and technological improvements make it possible to manage them effectively.
Continued research and development of nuclear fusion is essential, but waiting for this technology to become operational is not a viable strategy for meeting current energy needs and combating climate change. Current nuclear energy, although imperfect, already makes it possible to massively produce low-carbon electricity in a stable and controllable manner.
